help needed with uvw map

hi guys.I really need help with a model i have made.Actually it is my first time to work with zbrush and I think i have made a mistake about uvw map.I did not arrange UV’s before I export my model from 3ds max to zbrush.now when I export a low rez of my model to 3ds max to arrange the UV’s to use normal maps on it,there is no UV.Is there any way I can create a UVW map in zbrush?By the way my model is whole body.I will really appreciate if anyone can help me with cause I am trying to use it as my college project

You can create the UV mapping in ZBrush by going to level 1 of the model and assigning a blank texture to the model. The model should be the size of the maps you’ll want to create. Then press Tool>Texture>AUVTiles or GUVTiles to map the model.

However, these UV methods aren’t the best for tangent maps because of how that type of normal map creates seams at the UV edges and automatic UV mapping gives you no control over where those edges will appear.

Alternatively, you can open your original model in Max again (no need to export anything from ZBrush) and create your UV’s. Export it from Max. Back in ZBrush, go to level 1 of your model and store a morph target. Now press Tool>Import and load the UV’d version of your model. This will update the UV’s on your ZBrush mesh. Then switch to the stored morph target and return to the higher levels to continue working.

thanks man i will try it out and let u know.thanks again

hey man.I did what u told me.it kinda worked but as soon as I increase the level the model goes all over the place. Its ok I have fix the UVs now,I will take it to zbrush and work on it again.
After i have finish detailing how can I export the normal map to 3ds max?
