help! my symmetry is off

so i’m creating a sculpt from zspheres and my symmetry is off. i have cleared the center point but when i go to place a new sphere it’s either slightly off or really off depending where i place the new sphere. does anyone know how to fix this or the ways that this problem comes about?

I am having similar issues with symmetry bringing in multiple subtools. I’ve tried adjust my pivots to make them perfect in Max, zeroing out all objects on the X axis, resetting the geometry, cleaning geo, but I still have some subtools which are off enough to mess up symmetry.

Any workflows for good, predictable even symmetry would be appreciated. I’ve tried using ‘S-Pivot’ but that often moves the object which is aligned carefully in Max already.

When you draw your zsphere( we will call it the starting sphere ) onto the canvas, make sure you pull one zsphere from the top and one from the bottom. If you are making say a human mesh you starting sphere would be in the abdomen area. DO NOT use the starting sphere as the pelvic or chest area. My sym use to get all messed up from not doing it this way( funny how people here can’t even tell you the simplest **** ) but since I learned the correct way to work with zspheres I have had no problems.

A trick with ZSpheres is to use to axes of symmetry. For example, if you want X symmetry as you build in the Y direction turn on X and Y.
