HELP! M is not working

Hi,

Perhaps I’m doing this wrong but tried every type of “M” and it’s not bringing up the Insert Brush sub brush menu.

It’s simply - m - isn’t it?? If so it’s not working. M is bringing up the Quick Picks brush palette but that’s not what I want. I certainly don’t see any other brushes for the multi brush I have loaded. I’ve loaded many of the insert brushes to make sure it’s not just one brush doing this. It seems to be something to do with the keystrokes I guess…

So not sure what’s up with my keyboard shortcuts. Looked in the Prefs under the Hotkeys and there is nothing to reset so not sure what else to do…

You must have remapped that key. The ‘M’ key is the same as clicking on the ‘MeshInsert Preview’ in ‘Brush > Modifiers’. Just hotkey the ‘M’ key to that and you will be back in business.

Hi,

OK so where do I go to reassign the M key to MeshInsert? I’ve looked under the Prefs and Hotkeys but can’t see anyway to access a dialog to get that changed.

You just assign a new hotkey to the MeshInsert preview in the Brush>Modifiers sub-palette. Hold Ctrl+Alt and click on the icon, then press the hotkey you want to use.
On this page its the ‘Bike Chain’ icon but what’s showing for you will depend on which IMM brush is selected:http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/brush/modifiers/
