I’ve downloaded the trial version of ZBrush3.1
During the installation appeared a window for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 setup,
after that an error emerged but the installation was shown successfully finished.
ZBrush cannot be launched.
When I run ZBrush, a message box appears saying that the programm is not properly seted.
Anyone who can help me? I’ll be very very grateful !
What is the exact text of the error message that you receive? What are your system specs? Which version of Windows are you running?
The problem emerges when installing “Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package”, the text of the error message is “command line option syntax error.type command /?for help”. After that the installation is shown successfully finished, but ZBrush doesn’t launch.
I’m running WindowsXP. I downloaded a separate install package of Visual C++ and ran it, but it still doesn’t help, the same problem emerged during installation.
Then I searched in google and finally found the solution. I created another user account in Windows and had another try, this time everything went well.
I don’t know what was wrong with my old account, I had to delete it.
What confuses me is that I used to install ZBrush successfully in my old account, about a year ago. Lord knows what happend~~~
