Hellraiser's PINHEAD

I’ve never been one to ‘flog a dead horse’, but I have alot of fun playing around with lighting in Zbrush. Here’s another version of Pinhead with different lighting and some texture overlays in Photoshop.

Ok that’s out of my system, time to move onto the next project. Hmmm…something cute and cuddly…NAH!

hall of fame stuff, cwahl… its a pity its out of your system already, but then i cant wait to see what you will come up with next time! kudos!

Thanks in advance
Andreseloy

Hi andreseloy.

Could you be more specific?

Are you referring to the lines on the head or the texture overlays on the 2nd Hellraiser?

Excuse cwahl i refer to the line in PS.
Thanks in advance
Andreseloy
ps: when i try to do it became very blur and when applied like a mask in ZB are very distorted.

Holy wowee moly patoosh kablam!!!

I LOVE Hellraiser, Clive Barker is my favourite author EVER and your illustration of P1nhead is PHENOMENAL!!!

Were you inspired by the novel or the film…?

Did you model the head in zbrush too? Or did you use Poser…?

Andreseloy

(Sorry Pixolator, for doing a Photoshop tute on the Zbrush forum.)

I export the Texture master texture to Photshop.

I use this as a guide and on another layer, use the path tool to trace the lines which I then stroke. Get rid of the original texture, you’ll be using the Photoshop texture now.

Copy the stroked lines to another layer and blur this until the edges soften. Combine this with the other layer so you have a crisp line combined with a blurred line. This will give the bump map a smooth transition.

This is then reapplied back in Zbrush to your model as a texture, NOT an alphamask. The material’s colour bump is increased and the line texture will become a colour bump map. That’s all.

Hope that makes sense, Andre.

Jay

Thanks, I’m glad you like it.

I was inspired by the film. Very creepy.

Yep, the head was modelled in Zbrush using Zspheres, no Poser models used.

Thanks very much cwahl¡¡¡ Excuse me for take your time¡ I was using the alpha over the texture¡¡
Thanks for the explanation¡
Andreseloy
