Head Concepts II

Hello, thanks for comments.
I make this guy last days. I always want to do a fat villain.
Base in Maya, sculpt and rendering in ZBrush.
Hope you like it.

wow ! great!
Alex Oliver

funny thing, i´ve been playing with my own baron harkonnen these days too, with not so good result as yours. great character.

Hey Ralf,

cool model! Will you texture it? Would be way cool!!

cheers!

love it… i love the details you put in everyone of your models… i really love that fat guy

Good work Ralph. You do the baron proud.

Man even from the thumbnail i knew right away who that had to be, you got it spot on, love your work!
you ever see the sienkiewicz harkonnen?

Alex: I’m glad you like it!

abraXas: would be interesting to see your version. I don’t like the film design
from David Lynch’s “Dune” from 1984. I’m always wish it has the mood of “Riddick”.

the Xbucket: no texture yet, i’m interest in the form, the rhythm and the weight.

baker and Elixir: Thanks for nice comments.

spaceboy412: no, I don’t see the “sienkiewicz harkonnen”.

New render, hope you like it.

Cheers

Hehe… “Only one house will prevail”
Good job! Can you explain what you mean by ‘the rhythm’ of a model?

Nice idea stumpf

Plakkie: haha, this is a good question.

The rhythm in modeling is the balance between the size, form and wise of the details in relation to the size, form and wise of the overall form.

Very cool design! Partly realistic, partly stylized! Great work!

Plakkie, Jason and KrakenCMT: Thanks for comments.

I would like to show a head I made in the last two days.
Base in Maya, high poly modeling and rendering in ZBrush.
Hope you like it.

I like this character as well. You really always capture a style I enjoy stumpf, keep 'em coming!

He looks kind of evil to me  but amazing none-the-less, great work, I love the style!

Wonderful. Would love to take a look at your base mesh.

Cheers.

Thanks for comments.
Jason and x-titan: I’m glad you like it.
Mahlikus: It’s a simple base mesh without hair.

I reworked my Geisha concept. Hope you like it.

Hi Ralf,

Gorgeous clean scultpural work.

I would love to see a video or mini tutorial on how you achieve your sharp edges and various sculptural curves. Every time I work on a model, I get stuck with your typical lo-res clay look.

Also, How do you work on the details of your faces with such control? I find delicate work on faces difficult.

I like to use the layer tool to build up details in my models because you have less chance of excess build-up in your polygons.

Anyway, awesome work.

Revanto :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Ralf…it’s just that I am an edgeloop junkie (or even those models without them because of the sculpting). It’s like a puzzle you know. Wanna work backward and figure out how someone works.

Cheers

hey i love your sculpts you do do you think there any way you could make us a zscript of you sculpting one of these master peices in zbrush form begining to end so we can see what you technique is and further understand your work flow.

and makilus the black i love your renders they are great do you think you will start making more zscripts more often to thanks for both of your contributions to the community.
