Head anatomy study WIP

Here’s a head anatomy study I’ve been working on today. I’ve tried understanding how muscles overlap and are attached to bones etc., and I’m pretty proud of it considering it’s my fifth real model. Comments and critique is very appreciated! 3.jpg

Some reference was used, among others a video of a head i found in this forum a year or so back, and a head sculpture my dad made as an art student.

New to Zbrush as well, what reference did you use? also after you sculpted pretty defined muscle there you just smoothed it at some parts? cool technique.

I used a number of refs, a sculpture my dad made in his earlier days, among other

I used Clay brush for the most part, with a square alpha set to it

Nice WIP ! i love it  :+1:

clay brush eh? I’m yet to learn what it does :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a small update. I improved his skin in some places and gave upped the contrast a tad.
I’m thinking he’s some kind of war dude, with broad features and all. Critique is very much appreciated

you used the video from rayn as reference right?
looks very good for your 5th head

Yeah, Cral, I used some video I found somewhere a little, and I used a clay sculpture my father made as an art student as ref, too

And this isn’t my fifth head ever, it’s my fifth ZBrush sculpt ever
