HD geometry masking and deformation en mass question

Hi there.
If I have a character… say… wearing jeans and then map the model in a 3d program (say 3ds max) and have this texture which is high enough resolution to use this to mask off the grain of the jeans .Is there a way to apply this texture as a mask in zbrush and inflate the detail to the whole model in HD geomery mode ?as HD geometry mode can only be worked on in one area at a time?
Anyone know how to do this?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
