I’m trying to work out how the HD Geometry fits into the general workflow especially when creating a low poly objects and projecting onto them.
So if I have an object with 2 million poly’s for example and 2 levels of HD Geometry that’s been poly-painted and another mesh that is the low poly object which is subdivide and ProjectAll is used to project from the HD mesh, does the HD information get projected to the lower res’ mesh ?
I understand that the HD information can be transferred/rendered to an image when creating maps from different sub’ levels on the same object, but I’m not getting how it works on different Sub Tools using ProjectAll - or what workflow people use to capture it to a low poly model.
I guess the other question is can HD Geo be exported to bake in another tool Xnormal for example.
Any clarity on workflow would be great.
