HD colors and method of building a face texture

Can you usefully add color to a HD sculpt? I’d like to be able to make a cavity texture map using the HD level of details, if possible. It would also help with getting really small lines of color.

How would you approach creating a face texture, in z brush 3.5 R 3? One where you use photos of a person from different angles? I thought there was an older tutorial for this, but I’m not sure what happened to it.
