haw can i sculpt non uniform cirle arch details

Hello!

I woner if there any way to sculpt details on a non-cirle ( ellipse) arch, 'cuz radial symmetry doesn’t help in this case as shown at the pic.
The matter is thati wanna make details on it as precisely as possible.
I even post the example, i wonder how u would make it.

thanx in advance!

I think you should have sculpted all the details before bending the arc. What tool did you use to bend it like this? The bend tools on deformations?

Just bring in a full circle and use radial sym on that, cut it in half when you’re done.

unfortunately it’s not a perfect cirle and was made by extruding a profile along the ellipse path

Then my only idea is to make the details manually, most with curve brushes with insert mesh streaming along the frame lines of your sculpt.

THX!
So…i decided to use horizontal (z symmetry) and manual sculpting.

And after dynamesh all UVs got lost?

dynamesh generates new geometry, it can’t hold on to the UV information from old geometry.
