I’m still a beginning learner of hard surface sculpting, so I have a question about my topic:
When I work with Dynamesh and SliceCurve to get clear borders between some parts, I at the end have many polygons. When ZRemeshing, I want to preserve my polygroups with my sharp edges. But ZRemesher is not able to reduce the vertex-count along polygroup-borders when polygroup is on. So the resulting meshes after zremeshing still have many too many polygons and the edge-/polygonflow is not very good.
So I’m still searching for a workflow, which is able to make a good polygonflow with low polygon-count without destroying the polygroups.
I also tried the other way: Dynameshing, when ready zremeshing with polygroups off, then slice-curve to get the polygroups I want. Then I have many triangles after slice-curve and i again have to zremesh with polygroups on, resulting in the same problem as above.
Any better workflow without having to manually retopo?
