Hanuman is a God worshipped in the Indian culture as a symbol of strength , wisdom and loyalty. The character is found in various Indian epics. Being one of the central characters The Ramayana as a devotee of lord Ram . Hanuman was son of Pawan (God of wind) and was believed to have characteristics and physical features of a monkey. The epics have described him as a very powerful being who could lift mountains and rip trees with his bare hands. In Southeast Asia there are various version of this character worshipped in different cultures , Monkey King being one of them.
