Hang/Spin in new texture from polypaint.

Anyone else having prob’s with texture gen?

I’m using R3 in Vista-32

I’ve got a 64K poly model (subdiv-4) with poygroups.

I hit ‘polypaint from polygroup’. No problems, one brightly coloured model.

Then I click ‘New from Polypaint’ in the texture menu.

All I get is 100% cpu spin (OK on one core = 25%).

I have to break out task manager and shoot ZB in the head.

Edit: It’s nothing to do with polypaint. ANY attempt to use the ‘New …’
buttons in the Texture Map menu causes this hang.

OK. Got it.

Somehow my UV’s got trashed. I had to re-import the base.

I have no idea how they got messed up, but the result wasn’t very user-friendly! :confused:

(kinda hard to check your UVs when the result is a hung ZB).
