Handy

This is a WIP hand study I started a couple of days ago. I started with Zsketch then retopoed it. Ran into a few problems but finally worked them out. Ill probably end up putting a critter nesting inside the hole. Maybe a spider or Octopuss or something. I especially had fun with the micro wrinkles.

love it. so you modeled the whole into the basemesh or deleted it out afterwards?

Good hand man!
love all the folds, they´re very natural.

Keep it up!

monteford2002 - thanks man… I modeled in the hole.marianosteine - thanks!
still trying to decide what to put in the hole… Im thinking instead of a spider or something gross… what about like something cute and cuddly… like a rabbid hamster or something.

the hand sculpt looks great!
any chance you could post the wires? geometry on the hands always give me a run-around.
the idea of a critter inside the hole would be pretty cool, although the sculpt in itself is good enough. you could do a cute big eyed hamster with flesh hanging out of its mouth :stuck_out_tongue:
planning on texturing it?

AA-ron - yeah man I like the way your thinkin… look at this blood thirsty beast… HORRIBLE…

ill probably texture it…

Heres a WIP render of the hand. Im still working on the texture and lighting… Im still not sure what im gonna do with it. Maybe this will push me to do a whole zombie or something.

Very good sculpt. I imagine flesh eating roaches coming out of the hole. Looking forward to the final image.

hey marks. the hand looks great both texturing and sculpting. go for a zombie.

So here’s an 8 hour or so little project for fun. Was messing around with making a rock type surface and just kinda morphed into this…

Haha, that’s the last time I’m eating breakfast in front of Zbrush central:laughing:
Looks great, especially for eight hours!:+1:

awesome…love the skin detail

People don’t get wrinkles on their eyelids immediately above or below their eye, so the skin that touches the eye ball (whatever that’s called) should be smooth I think.

Other than that, great job! I like the detail! Both the hand and the eye are awesome. And I think you should make the hamster.

wild, neat and gross:+1:

cool art, reminds me the style of Taron, great going man.keeep it up :+1:

Really AWESOME work, the hand is perfect and the eye is
simply fantastic,
And i think it is obvious that this eye whasn’t suposed to be
a “perfectly human eye”, and that’s what i love about it the most, it’s orignality,
Such a wonderfull design,
If 3D art was only about representing perfect human anathomy it would be as boring as hell,
Cheers
Fernando

Thanks for all the kind words Fernando, I think you quoted what I was going for perfectly…

This is a bust that Ive been working on a few days… I was really just using it to test Z4. Its loosely based on a bust called “Imaginary Portrait of the Blind Homer” which is a Roman work of the Imperial Period (2nd century BCE).

Please, tell us more about your rendering method. Is it in Zbrush 4?

Great Work :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1: It’s a real stone, no doubt !
