Well, there are several things that’ll help. The first, and most obvious, is mesh flow and poly count. To get a nice join at the hairline, and to easily select head or hair (and mask them), you could isolate the hair and give it a separate polygroup. You might also want to create an extra edgeloop at the join and ‘crease’ both edges (the little black dots on the close-up). When sculpting the hair, you should be in PM and the straight line sculpting brush is good for getting started. If sculpting free-hand, consider increasing the ‘mouse average’ setting (the lazy brush in ZB3 looks like an enhanced version of this). Use the pinch tool (in Transform palette) to tighten the lines and create a bit of a wave. I also used the move tool, with the head masked, and pulled the front polys forward a bit to emphasise the hair line.
This is just done quickly … with a bit of care you’ll get much better results. Good luck. btw this is one of Anh’s models, available from the main Pixologic site.
