HA3 armorset.

Hello! Here are two versions of HA3 armoset - simple and modified. This stuff is used by assault squades like a tank rocket platform. Hi-tech electronic warfare with a armored exosceleton make this model essential during combat operations.

This is awesome! I love the subtle differences between the two. Any plans on texturing them?

I really like this piece and I always envy ppl who are good at hard surface stuff :P… I also like how you have elements of realism with the legs. It looks like the prototype that the US military has.

Nyx702, yeah, i’m planning to create a textured game model from this at the end of this week.

Finally, i’ve finished a lowpoly. Rendered in marmoset, 4096k textures, ~15k trys. Hope u like it.

Evan, thx! I’ll try to find more interesting forms while sculpting to improve that part of character creation. Here is a hi-res screen.

This is really sweet. I love the diffuse. It gives it a totally different feel.

Two questions/comments.

  • It doesn’t look like their is any spec? If there is… I think it’s way to subtle. I think you are really missing the opportunity to distinguish between the material types. Spec would take it to 11.

  • Are you lighting with just the ambient sky light in marmoset? I feel like this light really washes out the normals. Maybe try out lowering the skylight and adding a point/omi light to make the normals pop more.

Very nice hard surface sculpt. The textures look just fine but as Nyx702 mentioned, the marmoset renders are flattening your image, obscuring all your hard work you put into the form. I’d love to see a Zbrush BPR renders with your color applied.

Guys, thx for the comments! I really appreciated for a feedback. Unfornutely, i can’t render it in BPR with textures cause i made it after normal baking. But i’ll try to work a bit more on specular and post some screens with different lighting from Marmoset.

Nice model, I would work more on lighting and specular map to bring it to the next level!

I’ve decided to not start a new thread for this model so i post it here. This is an advanced semi mech suit. I’ve tried to work more on specular map this time and bring a little bit more interesting forms while sculpting. But anyway the concept of it is not mine. There are about 15k trys and 4k texture map. Rendered in marmoset.
And i’ve not yet fixed a texture on the previous model -(. Sorry.

And here is the sculpt. Almost everything has been made in zbrush.

Technically excellent! The texture work is very good too.

Really like the first two - sort of Maschinen Krieger meets Tau. The second lot are nice to look at on first glance but theres a lack of support and articulation that makes my brain fart a little. Great sculpts and nice diffuse though :slight_smile:
