If you set some values for H or V tile parameters in the Alpha tab, when you select another brush that has a preassigned alpha, it inherits those tile settings (thus changing its alpha).
They also don’t save with the brush if you decide to create a custom brush with alpha tiled through those settings.
To reproduce:
- Select any sculpting brush, open alpha tab;
- Change alpha h/v tile from 1x1 to something else;
- Select another brush that has a preset alpha associated with it, such as “planks”.
= You ll see that it still has the same H/V values assigned instead of its default.
For part 2:
- Change alpha H/V tile to something other than 1x1.
- Save a copy of that brush;
- Change h/v tile settings to something else;
- Load your saved brush;
= the loaded brush has the new tile settings instead of those you saved it with.
