I have a ztool with multiple polygoups and when I try and slipt the tool up with grp slipt in the subtools menu, I get a pretty abrubt crash maybe a second or two.
I’ve searched for a solution and havn’t found one. I have noticed a couple of other people having the issue a ways back but no solution. I was hoping maybe someone has one now? Thanks in advance for any help.
make sure all of the sub-tools and the main tool are at the lowest subdivision then do the group split. You’ll have to do the first subdivision without smoothing on so you won’t loose your edges.
Thanks for the reply jaystein777 I got it to work. I just had to move my uvs around into different regions a little better in max, then reimported the new uvs and gave it another try and it work!!
