Group Split / Texturing distortion assistance needed.

Need a little help, here`s the situation I modeled and did my uvs in Maya. I import my obj. If I use projection master to texture as a single object it works good but when I do a group split my Projections get all distorted. Any Ideas on this?

Guys anyone?!! I cant continu with project at this time like this…

OK I did a little troubleshooting I think this has to do with the DSMOOTH setting, can this setting cause distortion? Can someone enlighten me? hwen I set to 1 it distorts when I pick up my texture and when 0 its normal.
