group loop and polygroups - no symmetry zbrush R3

hi,

after checking the new group loop function i noticed when using polypaint or mask to polygroup i dont get it symmetrical so group loop makes no sense or did i miss something? there is always some small polygons or polygroups only on one side and not on the other or the group loop make polygons in an area only on one side.
im not sure if i use group loop the right way or if i misunderstand the function of it, but i thought i could use it for characters and unified skin to get a small polyflow?..

Hi,

You beat me to it, N-Drew

I was following the R3 announcement video and trying to do my own version of the car, and noticed the same thing. The polypainting itself appears to be symmetrical on my model, and then when I click to get polygroups from the polypainting the asymmetry arises.

If anyone can shed any light on this, I’d be really grateful.

Thanks.

Regards,

Jim.

Then use the Symmetry and Weld option, to have a symmetrical topology on your model

symmetry didnt work, but i havent used weld. mabye i should try that out.
