Grid/floor measurements

Is there a way to make the floor grid in mm. I can adjust it but I don’t know how big each square is in the real world.

Also can I change the colors of the x,y,z marker lines?

Is there a way to save the settings once they are all adjusted?

Thank you to anyone who knows.

Hey there Dana,

i tried, trust me but as far as i know there is no way of telling the grid size. I guess that’s another thing for Z4. Until then i’m happy that i have the grid!!!

Same goes for the colors.

For saving the changes … you could record a macro of your changes (especially changing the grid elevation to zero ;))

Hope that helps

Well I brought into zbrush a 1x1 square surface from Rhino. It looks as if you have the Grid size at 1 then it is 1x1mm in the real world. If you go up to a grid size of 2 you have a square 2mmx2mm etc.

I noticed bringing in the 1x1mm square that it was centered in the grid. I exported it with a corner of the square in the center of the grid not the center of the square.

I also noticed that if I (for example) open up the demo head and then append the 1x1mm square then the 1x1mm square is where it should be with a corner at the center of the grid.

Is there a way to make this consistent with how I export/import it?

I thought that, whilst we have a floor now, Zbrush as no real 3d scale at all.
