Gremlin *FINISHED*

Heres the latest update. I wasn’t happy with the arm I had in place last time. And after repositioning it, remodelling it, I really couldnt get the perspective right.

So I decided to change the scene and have him kneeling down, arms behind his back.

I plan to put him in shackles also.

Would anyone have any tips on how to model a chain? I want to have a chain going from ankle to ankle. I presume a chain is extremily hard to model :frowning:

As always suggestions / comments are welcome

P.S; No, this is not a poser model damnit! hehehe

Very nice, the expression matches the entire chained-up theme. I’m sure someone will give you a z-script on chains, Ive seen them in plenty of people’s work.

very kewl :+1:

Thanks guys

I’ve just added arms too! you’ll see them in the next picture. I just didn’t want you to think I forgot. You can’t see much of them, because they go behind his back.

And suggestions for future updates?

lets see… I think there is something a little strange about the transition between the legs and the body, but Im not sure exactly what… I would say definately get the chains made and then go for the backround/enviroment. It might be cool if there were various accessories on a wall behind him. Like his chains could attack to it, and there could be loops and whips and stuff for torturing people. Of course maybe thats just my sick little mind

Then we both have sick minds  You read my mind like a book then… lol.

Ok, heres the update… with arms, and leg shackles.

I resolved my issue with the chain, by using the 3dring tool, doing a few simply modifiers on them, and linking them together. Turned out quite effective I think.

Well, you posted just a little after me. I just had finished a simple chain script. Oh well, Ill still post it in case someone else needs help.
PS: i hope the script works cause i pressed Alt+Tab to check back to something. Does that mess it up?

chains.txt

FAbulous image by the way!!

Thanks man for the script anyway  Sorry I got in there a bit early :frowning:

And thanks for your comment  Now I have to conjur a background

Heres the latest update. Partial background added, still alot more detail to be done though.

I opted for a different background than previously discussed. I trialed both ideas, this one seemed to just have that ‘look’ that grew on me. Tell me what you think guys, as usual, comments and future suggestions are always welcome.

loving it…

He has no balls.

I mean the iron ones that go with shackles, you dirty minded fiends!

Nice work on the filthy wall, though.

Fasinating! You certainly put the ‘dark’ in
Darklock. However, other than worrying about your psyche, I must tell you I am in awe of your work. The modeling, the textures,
the painting…wonderful. The bg works very well too. :+1:
P.S. Thanks for the Chain Script.

Wicked image :ex:

Calibaan! wow! this one rocks man! really nice work, and i see the evolution of the project too. Fantastic! want to see more from you man =)))
:+1: :sunglasses: :+1:
kisss

Its getting even better! The choice of backround is definately good. However, the transition between the torso and the legs still seems a bit messed up, although maybe its just me :stuck_out_tongue:

I looked at this again…without sounding too vulgar…I think the thing that is making the transition a bit off is the fact that we have no demonic genitalia…so model him a big ole wee wee…I personally dont think that would be out of place for this image…and would definitely enhance it in my honest opinion :+1: :+1: :+1:

thanks guys

heh, I noticed how no one else commented on it this time apart from you guys =)

Anyway, for those of you who are interested Judging from the posts here, not many; which is a shame… Here is the latest update.

No, its not finished; however I did sign my name, as it was getting close to completion as a safegaurd.

As always, comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

And Ron, him not have genialia could possibly ‘add’ to this image, hell he’s not suppose to have eyes  Although, I will think about it  You may have a point… hmmm

dang! dong or not: this is a great piece (of z-art! :D) lighting and blind eyes are mucho dramatic… the first light falling into the dungeon since ages i bet. cant wait for the great finale!
