Dan DeArmond, Thank You!
I am sincerely glad to read your words!
4MalZ, I use a height map to keep control of bas-relief.
In the process of work. And I’m doing bas-relief in a similar way …
Stunning detail. I work with ArtCam Jewelsmith and ZBrush. Can you tell me in some division what part of this you did in ArtCam and then what you did in Z brush?? The height map feature in ArtCam is very good and I use that often… If you can tell me what you did in ZBrush I would be forever greatfull !!! Thanks. Dan.
I can’t quit looking at these tiles. I’m tired, hungry, and have things to do!!! BUT… I just sit here staring at this work!! Thought about it all last night while sleeping!!! HELP!
Beautiful! All of it! Dan.
wow, I love your style. I am actually trying to work on some coins right now. I am not quite sure how to control the relief (or how much to worry about that, I am just trying to keep things fairly consistent by eye-balling the sculpting). Is relief height something that you really need to be concerned about, or does Artcam control it after the .stl file is imported into Artcam at the engraver/mint? I am not sure how it works because I have zbrush, not Artcam, but the mint will receive my .stl file. I just hope I don’t mess things up for them. Unfortunately, I can’t find many tutorials or information on the subject.
Also, I love your beautiful jade and caledon materials. I downloaded them but for some reason, they are not working (looks like a nested zip file). Your other files (like the bronze materials) work fine. When you have some time, would you mind resaving the jade and caledon? Thank you so much, you are an inspiration to me!!
Your furnace tiles are real works of art… great work
The basis I did in the program MoI, with millimeter precision. Then - export in *.STL format.
This piece I did in the program ArtCam. Then - *.STL. After that, all collected and sculpted in ZBrush.
To control the height of the bas-relief I create an additional tool.
But it is somewhat approximate. If the customer requires strict relief height (in mm) I work with layers in ArtCam.
Hi Leo, fascinating to see just how you you work! Thanks.
Cheers, David
Thank you, David!
I hope that helped someone.
Regards Leo.
Thank you for the time you spent showing us that. Like you, I make a physical model by machining or printing of everything I draw so it was a help to see you combining the two programs. I owe you one!
Thanks Again. Dan.
Dan, I hope I could help. Despite the different languages.
Approximately two weeks.
I hope that helped someone.
Regards Leo.
Thank you Leo for taking the time to explain your process and the other software that you use to achieve your amazing work.
There really is one file in another. Moreover, it is necessary to download all the parts.
And then unpack one file after another. Unpack them completely. Until the end.
Just checked. Everything works. Enjoy.
Sincerely Leo.
Absolutely Stunning! I tip my hat to a real artist!
You are an inspiration to everyone here!
Thank You For Sharing. Dan.
Great! With great respect!
Klassno!!!
Hi Leo, just exquisite!!! what more can i say.
