Greenhorn Trim Problem

Hi, I need help.

Im sure its the easiest solution.

Please help me.

I am trying to carve a block of mesh to match the blueprints I have set on the grid via draw front-back ect…

But the trim does not leave the mesh uniformly shaped to the trim shape…

How can I acheive a uniform consistent shape accross the entire mesh to match the blueprint on the background?

For that kind of shape clipcurve will give better results than trimcurve, even either are not free of problems. Trimcurve deletes the area and creates a fill hole geometry, that is not accurate in curved shapes. Clipcurve pushes the geometry, that will work as long there is not a curved section that overlaps.

Apart of that shadowbox could have more flexibility but you would need to have a very highly subdivided one.

Rather than trying to carve it out like you, I’d probably use a QCyl(half of one) and the ZModeler brush to get the shape close and then enable smoothing as needed.
