Green Goblin - Realtime Character



Personal Project: This was inspired by Jacinda Chew’s and Gavin Goulden’s artistic direction in Marvel’s Spider-Man.

  • The mesh was built in zBrush, Maya and Cinema 4D, textured using Photoshop and Substance Painter. Base Unreal Realistic Human shaders were used for the skin, eyes and the hair with extra modifications. The rest of the body used a custom written shader.

  • Simple blendshapes for the eye movement and the facial expression were created using zBrush.

  • The eyes use an occlusion, tearline and tearduct blend layers to create a realistic shade.

  • The rig was done using Maya Quick Rig with additional bones for the hands and fingers. The Idle animation was created using this rig and the blendshapes in Maya.
