Hey, just wanted to say what an awesome site! What awesome modeling… lol no wonder you’re a pro!!

wenna

This girl’s body details had a zbrush pass. The rest, including animations were done with max.

dang, you’re fast wenna - i’m in the middle of attaching images and you already checked the site!

Base model max. Details, zbrush w/ a small bump map for good measure.

Body, pants, and head were zbrush (base model max). Body and head texturing was w/ Zbrush. Used Zmapper for the head. Thanks for that plugin!!! I’m also thankful to the heapin’ helping of tutorials available on here. Great stuff.

Nice images.

Just wow!

All of your models are sweet. But damn that Punisher is just incredible. Is the hair on him sculpted or simulated in Max? Really great work. So, the Duke is still coming?!!! Whoa, I thought that game was shelved long ago.

good works !!

Wow! Cool beans!!!

im new and would like to know if both zbrush and 3d max r expensive sofware, and do u need a powerful computer to run it, thanks. it really is awesome

It’s mostly texture work, relying mostly on bump and diffuse. It could work in a game with no problems. Here’s a breakdown of the elements:

:

Heck yeah, Bradstreet was a pretty hefty influence for the hair and face. Tried to capture a bit of the Mike Zeck craziness in the eyes and eyebrows. And the armor was inspired (but heavily modified) by Klaus Janson’s makeshift armor from Punisher unlimited #2 (thought the metal chest plate w/ spray paint was cool as a kid and it stuck with me).

Thanks for all of the positive feedback guys.

Top notch work and top row quality ! Love the monster “Creature” very nice.

Good work buddy you deserve it

Damn…that Robotic chick is great, the demon is beyond words and that model is in-game? Daaaaaaaaaaamn…speechless. There are a lot of really talented artists in Dallas, always notice that on CGTalk…maybe I live in the wrong town!!

realy Nice desegns…awsome works !!!

Cool. Hope it helped. Let me know if you want to see any of the flattened textures too and I can upload them.

I think you’re talking about my comments on the Punisher’s hair. Just to clarify, it is not actually in-game. What I meant is that it could be used in a game engine easily.

Many game engines have limitations when it comes to displaying hair. For example, you can’t run Max’s Hair & Fur modifier in real-time for a game yet. The game engines (and consoles/PCs for that matter) can’t make those calculations fast enough.

Some game engines can use alpha and you can get decent hair effects with enough “sheets” of polygons for the hair. But many engines don’t even have alpha capabilities, so the only option is to model the hair out in clumps of polygons which looks very CG.

So, my comment boils down to the Punisher hair doesn’t need any special work. All it is, is a diffuse, bump, spec, and normal map making it no different than any other part on his body.

Heh, “when it’s done”! Sorry I can’t tell you any more than the info that’s been publically released. Some of the most info has been featured on shacknews if you want to dig for more.
