VERY COOL! Its going to turn into something very unique and fresh. One observation though if you don’t mind. The mutation or structure on his left arm & shoulder is amazing but very isolated. That amazing formation needs some form of repitition on some parts of the legs or feet to balance it out. The feet are very clean as compared to the monstrosity that is above. The nails could also be refined in the sense that they could sharp and jagged or rough and dirty. But these are just suggestions. Its looking great!
Hi guys. Thanks for the comments and crits
piz: Hehe. Indeed he will be polypainted. Is there an easier way? I think not
Capital_G: Thanks man. Glad you like it so far… he has 780160 little square pieces on him
rodion vlasov: Than you!
khalavi: Thank you for your crit. I haven’t finished sculpting yet. The nails and feet have yet to be done and I’m going through the model to see what I like. But I’ll definitly keep your crit in mind. My original concept drawing is what i wanted to achieve but I decided to add to it. Ah well. Haha.
Cheers
Brett
Wow, amazing design! Cant wait to see a finished and painted model! 5/5 stars!
The last model definitely rocks! …I’m sorry that I can vote only one time on a thread, for me this is another *****!
I’m happy of your answer to Piz! I too want to see it polypainted!
ciao
guti
wow, this is looking good. was this one started with the monky man base mesh as well? it has the same feel in the hand and body proportion.
Hey guys thanks again!
AA-ron: Hehe. Me neither! Hope i dont make a mess of it. Yikes!
guti: Thanks man The pressure is building…Haha.
threetails: Hey dude Nope I re-modelled this bad boy from head to toe. I tried to re-use a previous model but his left arm was to difficult to get right for me. Also I needed to place the horns so I can sculpt on them. Unfortunatly because the model is assymetrical I can’t use mirror. But that adds to fjoy of sculpting doesn’t it? I guess I’m stuck on this proportion. Haha.
Cheers guys
Brett
I like the flow your model has, it is well done.
dude your work is freaking awesome…
blown away!
Amazing sculpts! That last creature is insane! I can’t wait to see him textured!
Thanks again anyone. Here’s another update. Added more detail to the bark. Added nails to his hand. And a bit of colour on his ugly mug.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Brett
Awesome! cant wait to see some more
killer job on the color!
when I look at the colored version
for some reason I keep picturing
a dark green tat on his right arm,
maybe a half-sleeve…
totally fantastic b! great work.
Awesome Work Brett!!!
Really cool stuff!!!
My apologies - I can’t believe I only just found this thread after all these months. Your work is top notch, all of it, from the touching potrait of your father to the nasty-looking critters. Now I have posted I will be subscribed to your thread and will keep coming back.
Amazing work Brett!!
Here you have yet one more subscriber to your trhead that I’ve enjoyed so much! I personally think that you’ve mastered several styles, cartoon, realistic, fantasy…always very succesfully. Beside congratulating you, I would like to drop you a question. Once you have your model, let’s say like your last one, fully modelled, what technique do you use to put him into an interesting pose? I mean, do you do it straight on Zbrush with transpose tools or do you rig it and pose it in a external tool such as Max or Maya? Just wondering cause I don’t have yeat any experience on that with Zbrush. Thanks in advance and keep surprising us with your work!
brettSinclair You’ve been busy since I was last able to check your thread. Wow to all the new characters. Love them. Every time I turn around you get better and better. I love that you have all your characters on this thread from so long ago to present, it shows how much you have learned and how much you have defined and refined your sculpting abilities. As always I am in awe and I say this knowing all true artist are modest as you are but you should be proud of how far you have come and how far I know you can/will take it. You have great potential as an artist, never give up and hope to see more and more and more…
p.s. I agree with guti and piz the only thing I wish is that we were able to vote twice or give more stars. So here’s some more **********************
Great Update!
Really really Awesome!
ciao
guti
Thanks all again.
Capital_G: thank you.
Super Glitcher: Haha. A tattoo. Maybe with mom on it? hehe.
piz: thanks for always replying. Cheers
Dondemaker: Welcome to my thread . Its officially a year since i started using zbrush :D. What a year.
I’m really happy you like the portrait of my dad. I’ll work on that for a long time. I guess it will never be complete
Danko: Thank you! I pose my models in either maya or zbrush depending on my mood or what I want. Sometimes maya is easier, sometimes zbrush is easier. I try to keep my work flow flexable One day I’ll do a tut for transpose. One day
Seavannah: Are my so blood shot you can tell from across the world? Haha.
Thank you for your comments. I’m humbled by your kind words. i hope your still sculpting :D. And wow! Thank you for the stars. Your too kind
guti: Thank you again
Here’s a doodle. Couple hours worth from a base mesh I did in maya. Just something I had fun doing.
Thanks again everyone.
Cheers
Brett
very good head brett.
Just an update on grangle. Posed in zbrush rendered in mental ray. No eye shader yet or anything. Just a colour map and bump map in sss shader. Hope you like it.

The bump is causing some banding on the shoulder. I’ll get to that when I have time eventually
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
