It´s so good!!! thanks for posting this…the last model is particulary good… I wonder— maybe you are still modeling the legs? I think all the muscles are in the right place and the character and pose is so good…if you accept some critics about that… I would adjust the soleo and some “perone” muscles… not sure about the english names for those muscles…

Here’s the update on the simian. I thought about his armour and found the less he has the more confidant he looked. These are just proxy for now. Let me know what you guys think please? Hope you like it. Also the texture isn’t done.

Oh by the way. If any one knows why the colour on my model turns black when I try convert it to texture, it would be a big help. Thanks!

look amazing man. the anatomy is great and the detail is great in the upper body. i know you said the texture is in progress but will you be adding fine detail to the legs? i think if you fixed up the boots a bit, detailed out his hear and finished the texture this would a killer piece. also if you could, i would love to see the base model you used.

I have the same problem with mine… I think it is because the uv was already unwrap but im not sure… when I try with an object who dont have preassigne uv it works very well…

Hey nice work there…really nice posture n anatomy…keep it up.

I went thru the same problem of “TEXTURE BLACKOUT” but i got it fixed too…herez how:-
after u’ve finished with ur polypainting (with “enable uvs” option off) go to the minimum subdivision level and hit AUV or GUV tiles for uvs (NOTE: you cud also import an obj with unfolded uvs at this stage which will tranfer tht uv set on this model!). Now go to texture and set up texture resolution (2048x2048 works well for me…) and now hit the col>texture button and WOLA!!! u’ll have wat u want…
rembr…if u wanna tweak ur texture again u gotta disable “enable uvs” and switch off ur texure…and repeat the whole process when u wanna capture the details back on to a texture.

I like the armor and texture…well, maybe not the boots so much but the rest for sure. I need to practice those kind of things and this is just pure inspiration for me! LOVE IT! Keep going.

brett you’re awesome. thank you so much for posting the lows they are great. quick question about them though i was noticing you have 2 sets of 3 loops on the toes for deformation i assume, but on your hands there are just 3 sections total why is this? Planning some sick toe animations in the future?
