Grainy Displacement map?

Hello,
I create a R-16 displacement map in Z-brush.
When I apply it to the polymesh in 3dsmax, and render, the map is projected but there is a granular quality to the skin, that is not on the polymesh tool figure in Z-brush.

any idea on how to smooth out the granular look either in 3dsmax or Z-brush?

It would be something to do with Max. That’s the best that I can do, but another Max user may be able to help.
