Grabbing normal map from document

Hi, I am trying to grab a normal map from a plane I sculpted on by using the NormalRGBMat but the texture is pixelated even at a document size of 2048x2048 and render set to best quality. Is there something that I miss? I ma attaching a piece of the map so that you can see the problem for yourself. I’ll be grateful if anyone knows of a tutorial on this subject or could just point out my mistake. Thank you! :slight_smile:

You said you’re using a plane to create the original object? My guess is that there’s no smoothing taking place on the model. Turn Transform>Quick off and set Tool>Display Properties>DSmooth to 1.
