GoZ/zR8 and Maya 2018

Is GoZ in the latest release of zBrush compatible with Maya 2018? I’ve installed Goz from zbrush but I keep getting an error when Maya starts…
“Loading GoZ support…// Error: file: /Users/Shared/Pixologic/GoZApps/Maya/GoZScript.mel line 6: Socket error creating command port 127.0.0.1:5555 (48). //”
Can anyone identify what the problem is? Thank you

I think I read elsewhere on the forum that it still isn’t fixed for Maya 2017 and 2018.

ZBrush and Maya now need a free port to communicate. It’s possible that your antivirus or firewall is stopping the port being used, or that the antivirus has quarantined part of the GoZ installation.

Can you check to see if this file exists: C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZApps\Maya
etcat<b>nc.exe and say what antivirus program you are using? Also, if you know how to check your firewall settings, you should be able to tell if it’s blocking the 127.0.0.1:5555 port.

Thanks,

Appreciate the input, however, I’m on a Mac. I don’t have any anti virus software working nor am I behind a firewall. Something else must be interfering with GoZ
