GOZ problem Rendering

Hello,
I am facing a great deal of trouble trying to get Zbrush to work with Maya 2009. I am using Zbrush 4 which has the GoZ feature fine with maya. The problem is when i am done with the polypaint and sculpting, i make my texture map, normal and displacement map and then hit the GoZ button.

  1. I get my mesh, with the maps with a blinn shader. The first problem apart form the shader, is that when i render i get nothing. The mesh stands in maya’s default space with the default light. Even if i lit it up, the mesh along with the maps only shows up on maya hardware render and frankly it sucks.

So i found another way to get my maps up and running so i could render in MentalRay.

  1. I use UV master to get my UVs and then export the maps but when i try to put them up in maya, the texture map is applied as a pattern rather than wrapping itself to the OBJ which contains the UV layout. I have been at this for a month now trying to figure out what i am doing wrong. I would be more than greatful if i am pointed in the right direction or if anyone can help me ou the slightest :cry:
