To elucidate a little more.
I set up a test plane. Apply a new texture to it :
test resolutions : 512, 1024, 2048 and 8192
Goz to PS and draw on the model at 1 pixel , 5 pixels, 10 pixels.
return PS to Zbrush
Save the texture.
Loading the texture into PS and looking at the resolution gives the following:-
Texture size : measure line size for 1, 5 and 10 pixel draw
512 : 1 : 4 : 8
1024 : 2 -3 : 8 : 15
2048 : 5 : 16 : 30
8192 : 20 : 60 : 110
measurements are a little fuzzy at the edges due to fade.
In essence, it doesn’t matter what size texture I use as it scales the pixels accordingly.
It seems to be a 1:1 ratio around 640 *640 texture.
How can I draw on a 4096 * 4096 texture where 1 pixel paint brush size = 1 pixel on my texture?
Hope that explains it better.

Am I the only one with this issue? or just doing something stupid.
Maybe its a PS setting that I’m missing.
I believe the resolution in Photoshop is dependant on the zbrush document size. This is probably why the Zapplink plug-in resides in the document menu palette. Reset that and then clear your canvas and redraw your mesh before zapplinking to photoshop.
cheers but its not the zaplink but goZ.
I did try resizing the canvas though but no real effect.
However it does seem to be just a matter of 3d zooming within PS and then its based on the texture size.

Sorry El-d, I have a bad habit sometimes of reading posts too quickly. I jumped to the conclusion you were talking about zapplink.
If no one answers your question, I’d suggest doing an advanced search using any combination of the words: Photoshop, resolution, GoZ, and start by searching by users: Aurick and Marcus. I know there is an excellent post that Aurick put together about matching resolution/document size match up, etc. I just can’t find the link at the moment, but it may well be a “sticky”.
