goz not finding applications/paths

hi,

I’ve just taken leave of a new Mac. I’m having problems with GoZ;saying it can’t find versions of any applications on my system. Even when I point it directly to a given version (which is in a standard location ~/applications/autodesk/maya2014/maya.app It still wont install GoZ, saying the path is invalid…?

any ideas…?

ps. worked fine on my old system, this new drive has been formatted and just a handfull of applications installed. There’s been no messing with locations or indexes. the OS is literally a few days old on this drive.

Sounds like it could be a permissions issue. I remember I had to set some folders to read & write before GoZ and some other Zbrush plugins would work.

that sounds plausible. I’m swapping a lot of drives in and out at the moment too; transferring files etc. Spotlight’s indexing is going crazy, I’ve wondered if that isn’t helping matters.

I’ll check thoses permissions and report back!

cheers MF

curious update - - After trying everything else to no avail, I copied the settings and pref files from my old install and GoZ now works. The path is exactly the same so I’m not sure why the newer attempts kept failing…
