GoZ: Maya to Zbrush with rigged model

I have a rigged character in Maya

Created joints > did smooth bind > painted all the weights to my liking

Then I selected the model and clicked the GoZ MEL script button to go back to ZBrush, where it brought the model back in, and I did some more sculpting on it.

When I was done sculpting, I pressed GoZ in Zbrush, and it replaced my old model with my new one in Maya.

PROBLEM IS:

Now my character is no longer bound to the joints. Which wouldn’t be too bad if I just had to select the model and the joints again and do Smooth Bind, but the painting of the weights is a long process that I can’t re-do every time I want to bring it back into ZBrush.
