Goz does not see 3dmax

Was GoZedding stuff from ZB2018 to Max2017 and it was going great. Decided to uninstall ZB4R7. Revo asked me if I wanted to uninstall GoZ, I clicked no. Uninstall finished. Opened ZB2018 and GoZ doesnt see 3dmax. I cant force reinstall because ZB only sees Blender.

Just to make stuff more difficult I have a Medion gamming laptop with an SSD and a HHD. The SSD is kinda full so I started installing on the HHD. works no problem. Here however the paths have gone fubar. What would be my best course of action to get ZB2018’s Goz to see Max? Max is on the SSD. Thanks in advance.

So in Preferences -> GoZ you have only Blender on program list?

If that’s the case check C:\Users\Public\Pixologic folder, there you should have 3 GoZ folders

In one of those folders named GoZApps you should have subfolders for every app listed under Preferences -> GoZ (paths),

I think that uninstaller erased GoZ files/folders and all GoZ exe,dll,… files are there (just dont know where blender came from, i don’t have it in R8)

In that case you should just replace (Public)\Pixologic folder with healthy one
Or lunch “GoZ_for_ZBrush_Installer_WIN”, you should find it in “wherever you instaled”\ZBrush 4R8\Troubleshoot Help folder
After that update path(s) (preferences-goz)

Dont have to do anything in 3sd max, Goz macro script is still there and will work same as before
(So no manual install procedure)

Ah its been a while. The reinstall worked so thank a million zber2!

That is probably what happened Modos. If it happens again will follow your advice.
