GoZ deleting subdivision levels

I’ve used search tool however i have not found the specific problem i am running into. Here’s what happens. I have a tool with multiple subtools, when i use GoZ and get my tool into maya at the lowest sub’D level after i send it back all my subdivision levels are lost. The funny thing is is that it seems to be something to do with my tool as when i am doing the same with say a test sphere, everything works A-OK. The test sculpted sphere goes there and back and i do not loose my higher sub-d levels.

Zbrush 4.0
