Hi guys, I´ve a problem with GoZ and maya 2001, I´m able to transfer model from ZBrush to Maya, but once the model is in Maya workspace it suppose to open a ZBrush shelf where it should be located the export back button to ZBrush: well this shelf never appear to me, so I can´t send model back.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance!
I guess you have missing files in the installation process.
Go in Preferences >> GoZ, then click on Force reinstall. Choose Maya and your system will prompt for an admin login / password or authorization. You must validate or enter your admin l/p to have the files installed.
If it’s not working, I invite you to open a ticket at the support center (http://support.pixologic.com)
Check out the Canned Mushrooms tutorials for the new z4 features. In one of them, he explains that it doesn’t install properly and shows you how to import the button as a mel script.
I had same issue here is the solution. The stuff written in the sticky is not clear but this is what you do.
- Delete the Pxiologic folder found in Mac HD/Shared/Pixologic.
- Right click on maya.app and click on show package files. Find the old goz mel script(if you had 3.5 earlier). I think the name was GozfromMaya.mll or something.
- Reinstall Zbrush 4 from the begining so everything is restored to factory settings.
- Use the find app thing and force reinstall on goz to maya 2011.
- Once you are inside maya the goz shelf will probaly not appear. Because the script from zbrush never seems to install goz completly. It seems to always forget one simple code to make it work.
- Once inside maya you type in source GoZScript; GoZScript
- (You only need to do this once ;))
- You should recive a message that says Goz is now fully installed and shelf should appear and it should now work as suposed back and forth.
