Hello all,
newbie here so go easy, lol. I searched the forum but couldnt find an answer so here goes. I just bought ZBrush and when I click GoZ it searches for maya and 3ds max, etc, but it does not search for lightwave. I have lightwave 11.0 and it’s my understanding this technology is now possible. What am I missing??
LightWave is not a GoZ enabled application at this time. See the PDF’s in your Documentation folder for a list of the apps that are supported.
For LightWave you can simply use the good old OBJ format.
The latest version Lighwave says it has built in integration with ZBrush through GoZ. The first place that I went was the documentation and was sad when I saw that there was nothing their regarding Lightwave. That being said, it does work though in Lightwave 11.0 using ZBrush 4R2B. You have go to into Layout and press GoZ, then go back into ZBrush and open up the GoZ settings under preferences. After that you should see Lightwave Modeler and Layout. There is one more thing that I had to do on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop though. When I pressed the GoZ button in ZBrush, it brought up and error saying that it could not create a file in my users->public->pixologic, etc… folder. This folder did not exist so after creating the directory it was looking for, all work perfectly between Lightwave Modeler, and Layout and zBrush. Exciting new tools at the fingertips!!!
