GoZ and displacement

Hi guys
I have a little question if you dont mind. Apologies if this has already been asked and answered but my search didn’t give any answer.
I’m using GoZ to send a model into 3DSmax. The Zclassroom tutorial mentions that it is supposed to send your model with displacement and set up the proper values for you. I have noticed my model was sent to max with diffuse and normal map just fine, but there is no displacement at all.

Any idea why I am having inconsistencies with what the tutorial is saying?
Thanks a lot and happy zbrushing!

I am getting the same problem. I normally use goz to set up my displacement and normal maps in max but it is no longer working for either map. I think it is the new goz update that recently came out. I remember it worked before I installed the update.

Can some one please upload the original GOZ plugin if they have it so I can test if it works.

hint, hint, pixologic ??

It does not use the materials displacement slot. Look under “mr connection” on the bottom of the material window. It should be there under displacement.

Its empty aswell. Thats where I normally look for it. I usually use goz with a displacement, texture and bump map turned on in zbrush and when it opens in 3d max I use the eye drop tool in the material windoe to bring up the new material. for some reason the materials/ maps are not coming across any more??

If some someone else has it working with the new goz up date can they let me know. It might be something I’ve done but I remember it working with out any hassle earlier in the year.

Cheers

Have you tried force reinstall in the goz tab under preferences?

For me it really is random, sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don’t.
I usually make sure I have the maps turned ON in ZB before GOZ-ing but I’m not sure if it is anything important.

MrMaster Thanks mate. worked but some subtools still will not work with the materials?? Weird.
