Very nice. Did you render out an animation?

Great job!

NickZ.

Great job !
IMO, the skin is too lambertian, some cool specular, reflexion and why not SSS effect would give more to your character.

Hey everybody, tahnks for the compliments, input and interest. I’ve just posted the animation to my site, so here is a link:

It is a short animation…and my first animation, so, well to me it looks a bit clunky, but passable for the moment (man oh man long render times can mess you up!)

Thanks again.

Congrats on your first animation.
Nice work.

Great work on your site too !
Keep it up :+1:

Hey thanks. I appreciate it.

Hey thanks for the compliments and checking out my site Skinny Bonez.

Yes, your art is very good on your site!

Aside from the skin attributes which could use some tweaking, I think this deserves top row simply for the level of sculpting involved and character that this model shows. Very expressive and believable! That animation is awesome!

Hey thanks Kraken CMT. This is my first digital model, so it has been a bit of a trial, and the compliments are greatly appreciated. I must admit, I am still a bit rough with texturing, and my command of SSS… is not very commanding, any suggestions on texturing?

Great piece, looks almost real

You don’t seem to be having any problems texturing it. For game models, you can detail this out in zbrush and then export the colours and the black and white values as a normal map. In photoshop, what I do is merge the two files together to get a game texture map. Zbrush isn’t a bad program is it!?

It’s an awesome program. But how do you export the colors? Imade some normal and displacement maps, but I’m unfamiliar with exporting textures, or colors.

thats a creeeepy golllum
much more like i imagined when reading the book!1!
keeeep up the gruesome!

verynice

There you go, after that all you have to do is open the file in photoshop. Merge the normal map with the color map using layers with one at about 50%. Then use levels and after desaturate the texture somewhat. You’ll need to paint over seams in zbrush too using projection master.

Hope that helps
