Goblin type creature

Since I have a full project to do in Zbrush I thought now would be a good time to start posting work on the board as I have been reading it for long enough. This is for a personal project I am working on the end result will be a normal mapped game spec character.
So far I have only started working into the head and it still has a long way to go but I will continue to post my progress.
I have to say I am loving Zbrush 3 I don’t find I have to fight it as much as I did in version2.
feedback is always welcome.

Cute character :+1: . Would be interested to read some broad steps of how you get it to a finished level as you go along

I will try and keep updates on the project quite frequent which will hopefully later on give a decent idea of the steps I take to get the character to the final result.

another update only a small one. I have done some quick sculpting on the teeth and tongue

Looking Ace - how long did it take to get to this point??

Also can I see the base starting mesh for this??

Thanks Steve I have probably put just over 2 hours in so far but a big part of that was getting to know the new tools in Zbrush 3.
I will post up the base mesh later on this week

As promised here is the base mesh. Nothing special really

really cool character, what a great artist is helping Z3 to show us!!
Congratulations
Andreseloy

Thanks andreseloy I am glad you like it so far

Just a very small update I had a little spare time so I started roughing out the forms on the hands.

goblinWIP03.jpg

I wasn’t happy with the proportions on the character so I have gone in and made the arms shorter, the hands smaller and the feet a little bigger. Hopfully I will be able to make time this weekend to get this close to to a stage where it is ready for adding some fine detail. I also need to have a think about maybe adding some simple clothing of somekind.

goblinWIP04.jpg

Just a small update. I have started detailing the body a little and I have also added a shot from the rear. The muscle structure of the character still needs work but it is getting there although slowly.

excellent model! I hope you get to texture him!:+1:

Thanks Leif3d. I will definetly be texturing this I still have quite a bit to do before I get round to it though

I didn’t get any time this weekend to do the worked I wanted to get done on this. Anyway another small update I have sculpted the feet as well as making some minor tweaks across the entire model . I think I will do some form of clothing next to help decide on the best direction to take this now I have most of the basic forms flushed out.

have been thinking about the clothing tonight and I am leaning towards an open hooded cloak. Although I am not 100% sold on the idea yet.
feedback is always welcome.

Another update of what I was doing last night only some small changesgoblinWIP11.jpg

Very cool lil model. I like his robe a lot. Great work so far

grate work awsome job

Cheers. I just have the problem now having a character with a robe and pointy ears peoples first thoughts are going to be Yoda. hopefully when I come to detail and texture it I will be able to take it well away from the Yoda look I will have to make sure I avoid having a green skin.
