Go around a cylindrical shape with a shape or alpha in a tileable way

Hi everybody !

I’m looking for a solution since one week and I don’t find what I want so I hope the community can help me.

I want use brush or alpha to create a continue and tileable “line” around circular object.

I used :

  • Surface Noise with Uvs but I don’t realy control my shape and I have always a visible seam. My Uvs are Unwrap and I haved test a different kind of Uvs but it’s always the same problem.

  • Using shift to create a straight line but that work like a projection and when the curve is too hard the projection don’t work

  • Using symmetry and radial symmetry don’t work

So any people have a solution ?
