Gibon

hi there! just registered in this forum and i thought to post a character i made back in 2007 for a college character class.This is Gibon! my first ever complete character modeled in 3ds max, detailed normal/disp map in z brush and then rendered with vray in 3ds max. the model is about 16.000 polys and the whole process took 2-3 days without the rigging/animation that followed after some weeks for an animation project. if there was a thing i would fix that would be the eye…i thing its a bit distracting…

To me, the eye is not distracting at all. I love the over all design of the character. If you don’t mind my asking, how did you do the webbing?

thnx you all for your comments!. @ Yelena_K , maybe but it could be better :P, now for the webbing it’s nothing complicated, i just extruded some polys in 3ds max when i finished the head and made the base form just like a “mohawk” hair style with the exception that it had the thick pointy horn areas and later in zbrush i defined it and between the horns i push it in until it would be a very thin skin area. hope i helped if you have more questions feel free to ask.
