Giant Centipede!

Hey everyone-

Here is a still life I recently created with the real giant centipede, Scolopendra Gigantea (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scolopendra_gigantea)

I used ZBrush to model and texture everything and to pose the centipede.
I rendered in VRay.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Let me know what you think. Thanks!

eek!!! I hate those things!!
looks cool,great render!
i really like it:+1:

Two great insect renders in one day  (there’s another thread with a bee and a flower). Great job here too!

Cool Render, but please don’t model the “human centipede”

Great work. It’s look really ugly

That is some sweet rendering.

Thanks everyone!

It was tough to make this unreal and strange centipede look real and believable. My render time was almost exactly 40 hours.
I used Vray’s depth of field and rendered it at 6,600 x 4,500, which is why the render took so long.

I am selling huge 14 x 22 prints if anyone is interested…
