I purchased both Zbrush and Photoshop but i really can’t afford 3DStudio MAX yet, so I downloaded GMAX. Is there a way to get your zBrush model into gMax? I downloaded the OBJ importer script v1.1a by Chris Cookson (for gmax) but this doesn’t seem to work.
Why not? Are you exporting obj files from ZB, or are you saving Ztools? I don’t use Max, but you need to save the tools out as an obj, before you can import it as an obj.
Yes I Exported as OBJ format. I got it to work a fter a few trys. Thanks 
How did you get it into GMax in the end. I exported as obj, but I was unable to import that format into Gmax.
Ok I got it. Export from zbrush as a tool using the DXF Format. GMax takes a while, but it can import the DXF.
Too bad GMAX only exports Plasma 3D files. Any idea how to convert to a 3DS file from GMAX?

You have to download a script and put it into the Gmax scripts/startup. Then go to the Utilities panel (with the hammer icon and load the script and import from there.

and i also found this obj import/export script that might be more interesting for zbrush
