getting some organic stuff smooth

hi there,

I have to do a sclupt of a bodywith a certain amount of detail. (like shoulder blades and some mass shifting). Now I am using the clay brush as main tool, adding small portions of weight and smoothing it. The result is not smooth enough imo, there a still small dents aver the surface, since the object has to be clean and shiny, I cannot tolerate this.

Is ther another way to get my model’s surface smooth?
using the smooth brush on lower levels is to invasive, it also smoothes away detail of the orginal mesh, since I may just add stuff, I cannot use it.
any ideas are welcome

What’s the topology like where you’re getting the dents? Are they happening at “star” intersections where five or more polygons come together?

that I am aware of (is there a way of preventing this???),
it is not like those dents, it is more some genral uneven surface. Like you paint pimples and do a smooth on them.

well, massive use of low intensity clay gives a decent improvent, I guess I will just have to spend an hour to clay it all clean…
