Okay, I suck at 3D and I tried Blender and hated it even AFTER tutorials. So, I had Poser Pro on my PC and thought I could import my object (a space ship) as an OBJ and animate it (the camera actually) in POSER and … it worked! I was amazed. It imported and I could animate the camera and spit it out to an AVI. I chroma key that later in Vegas to achieve a green screen.
Now, in zbrush 3.5 I am polypainting and it’s fine. just like I want it. I then del uv, lower subdivision to lowest, try ALL the uv modes and some don’t even map the polypaint properly IN ZBRUSH. So, the group UV and pack UV I try and make a texture and export flip v no flip v. Nothing is working in Poser and even in zbrush I bring the texture back in and it doesn’t map. ?
I’m starting to think it’d just be easier to overlay the texture in after effects with all this wasted time. But I figured I’d ask in this forum because maybe there is some magical word I didn’t say or maybe Poser isn’t going to recognize these uv configurations. I am clueless and if you can figure it out, that’d be awesome. I don’t have 3DS Max or other pro 3D software so I’m really wanted to get poser pro to map the texture properly but no idea why it won’t. maybe it only works with a cylinder map? Thanks !!!
