Getting A Texture From Zproject

I’ve used Zproject to paint a texture onto my mesh. I’m having major problems importing the mesh with the texture back to 3ds Max. I’ve tried everything! I’m new to Zbrush, so I’m not comfortable with the tools. Could someone help? I’m using Zbrush 3.1.

the texture you painted most likely isn’t on an actual map.
I’m assuming you’re using polypaint…vertex color data.

In order to view your map in Max you have to have an unwrap…zbrush can do this procedurally for you, or you can create a custom unwrap of your own.

once you generate the UVmap you’ll need to convert the polypaint into a texture map…diffuse, most likely.
